Together with his expedition partner Sivert experienced a race against time skiing Roald Amiundsen historic route to the South Pole. It all culminated with the party reaching the Pole just hours before the last plane of the season out from 90 degress south was about to leave. Sivert and his companion had to fight some severe storms that changed their plans, extreme cold and lack of time on their more than 1 200 km long expedition.
